So I recently started a new comics project for myself, as a way of keeping up comics and storytelling during the rest of my classes. As I was getting a bit frustrated at the roughness of my diary strips, and also wanted something cheap and easy to make to sell at conventions, I created.....

THE PENNY FARTHING (ISSUE 1: GEORGE & THE DRAGON/ THE DRAGON & GEORGE)

It's meant to be printed on one sheet back to front, and folded in a way as to make a little book (I'll try to take a picture to post in the future). This was a fun little project and experiment in style. I'd like to try a couple more of these 'double sided stories'.

Hello boys n' girls!

There will be more things posted shortly....

There will ALSO be a change of plans. I've realized that for now, unfortunately, I do not have the rigour and patience to create one strip every day, between my school work and extra curricular work and other activities, it's just too much! And I also had a look back at what I've produced on this blog so far, and saw that I'm very dissatisfied with a large amount of the artwork. I would rather do this strip every once in a while, but do those well, and with consideration, than do regular 'rush jobs' that I get sick of doing. SO THAT is my 'excuse', as most of you will probably see this as an excuse. Which it obviously is.

However, as a way to keep this blogging more regular, I will start posting other work that I create, comics and otherwise, so hopefully there should regularly be fresh art to look at. To kick off this new change, I wanted to show the poster I did for my good friend Nicholas Moran's play - 'Under the Blacklight'. This was created for the show's run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2010 (which had some awesome reviews!). Feel free to leave comments and insults!

Hello Everyone!

Just a quick word, after a long long long long break. So I apologize about the abrupt hiatus, but with the end of the school year and several extra curricular projects, it became too difficult to keep up my daily journal. So I AM still alive!

I felt super guilty about not doing these anymore, but I figured that it would be better to take a break from them and come back to them with more energy and time, rather than start to hate them and feel forced to do them. Therefore I WILL start drawing and posting again in May if all goes according to plan!

Hopefully y'all don't hate me too much and don't start posting horrible things about me as retaliation. But if you do send me a link so that I can amuse myself at the treasure trove of insults!

So I'll be back soon!

Hello Everyone and Merry Christmas!! (yes the 24th is Christmas for us Europeans)

Sorry this is coming so late, (and so little) but its been quite hectic wrapping up the semester and laundry, cleaning my room... (it had gotten very filthy.... you don't really want to know how bad), packing and all the other billion and one little things I needed to finish up. As a way of respecting my friend's privacy I've decided to take down the December 9 blogpost!

For all of you nosy people out there I basically went to go see his show, and had a good time doing so. And no he most definitely did not commit a murder that I witness to and am now being escorted to relocate under the witness protection program for.

(As a side note- the show was a great compilation of short plays dealing (more or less) with the Recession- ranging from comedy to drama (with some quite 'experimental' pieces...). Some hilarious moments- notably a breakup scene and a 'make-out' scene being practiced awkwardly.
